Vodka and Fruit – Together Again, At Last.

cassis vodka

My first trip to Westham Island for the season yielded lots of tayberries, some of the last strawberries and a small amount of black currants. I picked the currants because they looked easy to pick and I had vague notions of making jelly. The bottle of vodka changed my mind. It is organic and made in the United States. It begged me to soak the currants in it so I bought a new jar started the soak today. I think I might get more currants to change the fruit a few times to induce maximum fruit awesomeness.

  1. If you would like some currant jelly, I have some red currant I made last year. Then you could have boozy berries and jelly:)
